Introducing Captain Vertigo, a five piece indie rock band from Widnes, Cheshire.  The members are Paul Higgins (Lead vocals/guitar), Steven Miller (Drums/percussion), Kieron Eager (Lead guitar), Sean Goddard (Bass guitar) and Ed Jones (Synth/keys/guitar).

Since forming in early 2014 they have been fine tuning and finding their performance taking inspiration from the likes of The Beatles, Catfish and the Bottlemen and The Wombats to name a few. Since forming they’ve played some of the north west’s best venues, The Citadel, Zanzibar and O2 Academy with an aim to get the skills and experience that will see them onto bigger and better things in the future.

While the band do not yet have any released tracks for us to listen to, they promise that they’ll be producing them soon. In the meantime, they continue to gig around the North West incorporating their own sense of humour and audience interaction, which will mean their sets will be unique among many. They like to have a laugh and joke about with the crowd as they love it when the crowd gets involved and dancing to their songs.

With an attitude like that its easy to see them making their name known more throughout the music scene. I’ll be following this band with anticipation to see what music they produce and evolve into an even better band in the years to come.

Captain Vertigo have an upcoming gig at the Studio in Widnes on the 24th October if you fancy checking them out for yourself.
